Interior Design Projects 2025 Round Up — Part 2

Posted on No Comments

As we continue our 2025 project roundup, we’re excited to share more of the spaces our team worked on this year.  From beautiful bathroom renovations to an Old-world home refresh, and an exterior limewash update, each project reflects our approach to timeless, livable design.

These spaces may vary in scope, but they share the same attention to detail and intentional decision-making.

If you missed it, you can catch up on Part 1 here.

2025 Designer Showcase

Project Type: Historic Home Renovation + General Contracting

The 2025 Designer Showcase featured a 100-year-old Tulsa landmark, and we were thrilled to serve as the General Contractor for the full renovation. Tackling the unique challenges of an older, historic home allowed our construction team to shine, from restoring original charm to carefully integrating modern updates. We worked alongside Tulsa’s talented designers, and helped breathe new life to this stunning home while preserving its character and history.

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re excited to reflect on some of this year’s projects. From full home renovations and luxury remodels to new construction and furniture styling, our work spans a wide range of interior design services. Here’s a look at just a few of the incredible transformations our Kirkendall Design team had the privilege of working on. See Part 2 here.

Private Bank Office in Tulsa

Project Type: Commercial Interior Design + Furniture & Styling

For this private bank office in Tulsa, we brought “lifestyle living” into a corporate environment.  Every private office, conference room, and reception area was thoughtfully designed to reflect the bank’s high-end brand and build trust with clients the moment they step through the doors.

Our commercial interior design services focused on furniture, styling, and layouts that balance luxury with functionality. From wall décor to wallpaper and custom furnishings, each detail was selected to bring residential warmth and comfort into this corporate environment.

Yorktown Ave Kitchen Renovation

Posted on No Comments

First seen in End of The Year Project Highlight Pt. 1 on

We’re excited to shine the spotlight on the kitchen renovation at our Yorktown Ave project. Located just outside Tulsa, this charming country home boasts a serene pond and quaint flower-lined pathways. The kitchen now mirrors its surroundings with beautiful, nature-inspired design elements.

The previous floor plan had a closed-off breakfast nook and small kitchen. We knocked down walls between the breakfast nook and living room to create a large island and give better views of the pond.

The new open layout features an oversized island—perfect for our client who loves to cook. For added storage, we extended the square feet of the kitchen by replacing an unused back entrance and hallway with a new walk-in pantry, complete with a custom arched pocket door.

The showstopper of the space is the ILVE Majestic range, which is complemented by the sage green cabinetry.

Kitchen Renovation Design Must-Haves

If you are building a new home, or renovating an existing kitchen, you might be wondering what features your kitchen needs. Our Tulsa-based interior design firm specializes in kitchen renovations and we pride ourselves on keeping up with the latest design innovations to make your kitchen into a functional and stylish space.

Here are some of our favorite kitchen renovation must-haves that promise to elevate your cooking experience and add value to your home.

Spice Drawer Pull Outs

No more rummaging through cluttered spice racks. Spice pull-outs are sleek, organized, and ensure that your favorite seasonings are always within arm’s reach. These pull-outs save space and make your cooking experience smoother and more enjoyable.

Kitchen Task Lighting

Proper lighting is essential in any kitchen. Task lighting under cabinets and hood not only adds a modern touch but also ensures that your cooking area is well-lit. This is also a great feature to accommodate aging household members’ needs.

Pull Out Trash

A pull-out trash bin may seem like a given, but if your spouse or builder suggests otherwise, don’t be swayed. It’s a game-changer that keeps unsightly trash cans out of view and helps maintain a clean, uncluttered look. Plus, it’s incredibly convenient for keeping your kitchen tidy during meal prep and clean-up.

Coffee Bar/Drinks Station

A dedicated coffee bar, cocktail prep area, or smoothie center is a top trend these days for kitchen renovations. Not only do they enhance your daily routines, but they also offer extra counter space when you’re entertaining, extra storage for appliances, and keep all of your beverages in one space rather than taking up room in the main fridge.

Under-Counter Microwave

Placing the microwave under the counter frees up valuable countertop space and contributes to a streamlined kitchen design. This innovative placement is ergonomic and another great feature to accommodate aging household members’ needs.

Additional Cabinet Storage Under Kitchen Island

Maximize your kitchen storage with additional compartments under the island. This bonus area can house bulky serving ware, holiday decor, or small appliances. It’s a simple design feature that adds major value to your kitchen renovation.
