Kirkendall Design Welcomes Junior Designer, Sweta
You’ve probably seen her around The Studio, lending a hand with presentations and joining in on site visits, but we’re excited to officially introduce Sweta as our Junior Designer at Kirkendall Design! An Oklahoma State University alum with a degree in Design, Housing, and Merchandising (Interior Design), Sweta first joined the firm as a summer intern in 2024 and transitioned to full-time after graduation.
Julia and Sweta first met through OSU’s Interior Design program, where Julia regularly volunteers. Last summer, we had three OSU interior design interns on staff, each getting hands-on opportunities with our team.
Sweta stayed on through her senior year, and after nearly a year with the team, she naturally moved from intern to Junior Designer. Now full-time, she helps with a variety of projects and supports our lead designers with CAD drawings and detailed layouts.
“A big part of my role is ensuring that all the information I collect at the Initial Consult is as detailed and accurate as possible—this is a crucial step in starting any project,” she says. “From there, I take the actual measurements and layout the space into CAD, and then I get to collaborate with our amazing lead designers to develop the project from there.”

Along with creating 3D renderings of spaces, she also loves designing mood boards, pulling together samples for presentations, and collaborating with our lead designers.
“Sweta brings a fresh new creative view to our projects and is detailed in her processes,” says Julia. “She relates so well with our clients and our whole staff loves to work with her. She brightens every meeting with her smile and great communication skills.”
