Over the years of working with our clients, we’ve been asked to expand our design services beyond the main home to the client’s second residency. This is such a natural fit for us, as we have continued to develop a relationship with our clients and understand their family’s needs. It’s always rewarding and thrilling to be able to work on location, across the country.
Lake houses – We’ve worked on lakefront property in the Sooner State, Arkansas and Texas. From freshening up the decor to complete remodels, we’ve designed and contracted the work to be done. Most clients are open to play with a brighter color scheme and whimsical decor at a second residence, especially when that home is at the lake! We prefer working on these projects during the off season so that everyone can enjoy the lake when the weather warms up.
College Houses – That’s right! When you know you’re going to need housing in a college town for several years, sometimes it makes sense to buy a house. Most of these homes need renovating. We’ve designed and decorated some great collegiate homes and our client’s students are always thrilled with the outcome. It was such a great investment for one of our clients, they ended up investing in multiple homes!
Vacation Houses – With the ease of communication and shipping in today’s market, it only makes sense for us to work on location at our client’s home away from home. We know our clients and their families well. We know their lifestyle, even down to their habits and allergies, so we design with the ideal get-away in mind.
Parent’s Houses – When we work with a client for a period of time, a trusted partnership forms. We get to know not only our client, but also their children, the housekeeper, the family dog, and sometimes even parents and grandparents. The natural progression of the life stage of aging parents has become another area that we now provide service. We’ve had the privilege of helping to move these seniors from their family homes to a much smaller senior-living home, while still surrounding them with familiar items and treasures. This isn’t always easy on the parent or their adult children, but we’ve been able to make it a smoother transition, which is a win-win for everybody.
