We’re excited to share our Old World to Transitional South Tulsa project on the blog today. Talk about a transition! This remodel focused on simplicity and softening the color pallete to create a feeling of serenity in the home.
The living area started out heavily embellished in red and gold. We swapped out these standard traditional colors for softer tones of grey and silver. The back wall was painted and the original built-ins next to the fireplace were replaced with metallic credenzas. A little space planning made a big impact in the overall feel of the space and the room was finished off with a beautiful statement piece chandelier, made of recast glass on a wrought iron frame.

The bedroom also got a big face lift. To stay simplistic, the focus colors were soft grey and gold metallics but a touch of amethyst was added for fun and because our client loves it (and we aim to please!). How a client will use a space dictates our design of it, so we selected a cozy chaise lounge perfect for snuggling grandbabies.

Last but certainly not least, updates were made in the kitchen and breakfast nook. The cabinets were in great condition so they only needed a hardware change. The backsplash was updated and the ornate wooden vent hood was replaced with stainless steel.
