It’s daybreak in downtown Broken Arrow and the city is just waking up.  While the vendors are setting up, I walk for about an hour, getting my steps in for the day and taking in the morning views. There’s nothing quite like a sunrise in the Rose District on farmers market day.  For me, attending my local farmers market has become more of a practice than just a weekend pastime.  Few things are as inspiring as nature to a designer; and the farmers market has it all!

Earlier this year I visited Seattle and New York and was able to attend the local farmers markets in both areas.  Even if I’m out of town, I like to stick to my little routine.  The markets are all unique and it’s fun to see how they differ from one another.  Here are a few of the pictures I took:

If you’ve never been to your local farmer’s market, maybe this will inspire you to check it out.  It’s a fun experience and you can shop the freshest produce available while supporting local farms.
