The lazy, hazy, sweet days of summer are here!  And here’s what’s catching our eye this season.

COLORS

Orange, yellow, and smokey hues of blue, navy, white, pink and gray

We’re using white as accents in accessories.  Also blue is the new neutral because it coordinates with a multitude of colors like emerald green, mustard, rose, and orange.

TEXTURES

Lighter rugs, linen-like fabrics, wood, metal, and fur

Consider incorporating wood into design for an added texture.  Also a high-quality fur throw in a lighter color draped over a sofa or chair gives added softness to a room.  Swap out heavy wool and cable-knit pillows for linen-like fabrics in bright colorways.

TRENDS

Air plants, florals

Nature will always be in style.  We’re loving using succulents and wispy air plants on driftwood this season.  Floral patterns are also a big trend.  You can bring the outside in with fresh cherry blossoms, tulips or hydrangeas or opt for floral accessories, such as throw pillows and decorative plates or bowls.
