In celebration of our 35th wedding anniversary, Stan and I went on a little getaway to Napa, CA. It has been 20 years since we were both in Napa. Sunshine and wine were just the perfect elements to help us relax and unwind. We stayed at a resort outside of Napa, enjoying the pool, spa and vineyard and venturing into town but our favorite place to walk around and explore was Yountville, CA, a small town north of Napa. Stan made our plans for this trip and convinced me to fly the coop and leave it all behind for 4 days. I am so glad he did, as there was no shortage of wine, architecture and inspiration all weekend.
After a long nap at the pool, enjoying the view of the vineyard, we were off to explore the town.
Not often in Oklahoma do you get behind a truck carrying barrels of wine…oil maybe but not wine.
Early Easter Sunday, we were off on a hot air balloon ride over the vineyards and almond groves. It was a beautiful ride and so peaceful up there. I could get used to this!
We could have spent the whole day in Yountville looking at the interesting architecture and being inspired for our next outdoor living project.
