Debbie, Kirkendall Design's Interior Designer

Debbie

Interior Design/Business Development

“Shake what your mother gave you” – Debbie loves a good party and her zingy personality makes you want to get to know her. A precisionist by nature, Debbie enjoys seeing homes transform and her attention to detail will make your heart smile. Not only can our resident socialite create an engaging design presentation, she can also transition from design assistant to a strategic business development role. She loves entertaining, spending time with her friends and family as well as being involved with her faith. In Debbie’s world, there are no strangers, only friends she hasn’t met yet – lots of them.

Jayne

Senior Designer

Jayne is the fashionable co-worker who always has a witty comeback at the ready. She enjoys online shopping and has a great sense of how colors and patterns work together. Her ability to research and find anything online helps us source the most unique decor, textiles and furnishings for our clients. She can design a room so that it’s not only camera-ready but also current and stylish and completely about how the client will be using the space. In her spare time, Jayne likes to binge-watch a good true crime series, garden (to take her mind off of said true crime series), and play games with family and friends.

Fun Fact
Fashion is my kryptonite
Note to self:
In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.

Lindsay

Senior Designer

Having previously owned her own construction company, Lindsay has an in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of a home from framing to plumbing and electrical, foundations, etc. This gives her a unique skill set when it comes to drafting plans and 3D designs, as well as communicating with our construction team for a seamless implementation of our designs. Look out, because Lindsay has also been known to pick up a trowel or nailgun, or run the miter saw when the opportunity arises, she has true grit and loves to get involved in building!

Lauren

Senior Designer

Lauren worked at Kirkendall Design previously before moving to OKC in 2018, and we’re thrilled to welcome her back to the team! She brings extensive experience to KD, including drafting custom cabinetry, furniture, and millwork from her time at a Tulsa cabinet company. Lauren’s passion for design started in childhood and led her to earn a Bachelor’s in Interior Design with a minor in Architecture from OU. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, trying new recipes, and watching cooking shows, OU football, and spending time with family. A dedicated zoo enthusiast, Lauren and her husband have visited numerous zoos across the US and abroad, including in Rome! They also love to frequently vacation in Orlando.

Lora is the longest-serving employee of Kirkendall Design. She’s been with the company for over 18 years and has seen it grow from a small design firm to the successful business it is today. Lora is the go-to person for all things Kirkendall Design. Need a problem solved? Lora is your woman. Need help with billing? Lora has you covered. She’s also a wise counselor and friend to all who work here. In her free time, Lora enjoys spending time poolside with a cold drink in hand. And during the colder months, she loves to escape to a warmer destination–anywhere with a beach. Spending time with her family, friends, and her three grandbabies is also pretty high up on the list.

Emily

Design Assistant

Before entering the interior design industry, Emily was a Crime Analyst in Savannah, flipping houses in her spare time to appease her creative side. (Talk about an interesting career pivot!) Now, Emily works on our design team, helping to enhance our client experience from start to finish. She’s also KD’s unofficial software/systems educator and supports our admin, marketing, and construction teams, offering valuable input and aiding in administrative processes. As Purchasing Manager, Angela blends her executive-level skill set with design knowledge to ensure timely procurement for our client items. In her free time, Angela is a “get-r-done” kind of gal, enjoying various hobbies like DIY projects, furniture repurposing, abstract painting, and baking. Mary

Marketing/Business Development

Before coming on board at KD, Mary was a marketing and communications powerhouse in the non-profit world. She then started doing freelance marketing for small companies, providing strategic communications and social media marketing services. She even worked for a professional organizing company, which has proven to be a valuable asset in our fast-paced design firm. When not at work, Mary loves spending time with her husband, Tayden, and daughter, Paislee, as well as shopping and sprucing up her (most likely) already perfectly decluttered home.

She has always hustled outside of her 9-to-5 to grow her brand partnership knowledge and stay ahead of the ever-changing algorithms! Now, she effortlessly manages all our social media platforms, thanks to her expertise and creativity. Her passion for digital marketing shines through, as she spends her free time curating her own accounts and staying up to date with the latest fashion and online trends. When she’s not online, you can find her hiking with her husband and their three big, lovable dogs.
