In honor of Independence Day, we’ve rounded up some of our favorite patriotic-inspired pins just for you! We hope you have a happy 4th! Here’s to the Red, White and Blue!
First, let’s talk food. Whether you’re hosting or attending an all American barbecue, these treats are are super cute and easy! This is even something the kids could make while they’re waiting for the fireworks show to begin. Just set out red white and blue candies, sprinkles and icing and let everybody get creative!
I also love the simplicity of this snack tray. Fresh fruit, white chocolate covered pretzels and red berries become a healthy, patriotic snack. We can all salute to that!
Another easy dessert that guests can help themselves to is s’mores. You can go classic marshmallow, chocolate, graham cracker or get really elaborate and make an entire spread using different kinds of cookies, candy bars and sauces. A quick search for “s’mores bars” on Pinterest will generate all kinds of recipe ideas.
There are so many cute ways to decorate your porch or kitchen table for the 4th. Personally, a single flag is perfection to me. It embodies American freedom and the sanctity of the home. Old Glory + Old Barn = All the feel goods
If we’re friends on social media (which if we’re not, we totally should be!) you might have noticed I have a thing for vintage bikes. So when I came across this bicycle embellished with flag decor, I had to include it in this post. I can totally see this propped up against the porch to create a cute little display or it could actually be ridden in a 4th of July parade.
Last but certainly not least…..Fashion! It influences interior design and vice versa, so it just seemed right to include a little Fourth fashion in our Red, White & Blue pins. In case you didn’t know, we’re all about liveable style here at Kirkendall Design and this ruffle top paired with red shorts looks cute, comfy and ready for a sparkling good time!
